location The hotel is situated on the Esplanade, opposite Elizabeth Castle. The hotel is ideally placed for the shops of St Helier, the beach and the many carefully tended parks.
roomsThe rooms are tastefully decorated and are in good condition as are the bathrooms. Many have wonderful views over looking Elizabeth Castle and the sea front - other rooms have views over looking the park. All rooms have facilities as expected from a 4 star hotel
restaurantThe hotel has two restaurants, one which is decorated with images of that extremely stylish period. Here you will experience the culinary expertise of their award winning chef.
exteriorThis is a large impressive traditional building which was built in 1891 that overlooks the famous landmark Elizabeth Castle. Fantastic Al Fresco dining is available weather permitting
lobbyThe lobby is large and elegantly decorated in rich colours which make it look very cosy. There is a large lounge off the lobby where you can sit in the conservatory and relax. A selection of light snacks and high tea is served daily.
generalThe hotel has an impressive Health and Leisure club which boasts a heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, spa and solaria and a well equipped gym. Throughout the hotel, a dedicated and professional team ensure guest satisfaction of the highest order. A unique combination of the best of Britain with a distinctly French atmosphere creates an unforgettable experience. Hilwood Resorts and Hotels now own this lovely hotel. The hotel is being transformed and upgraded to a 5* hotel, to offer stylish bars and restaurants, elegant public rooms, a be-spoke conference centre and beautiful bedrooms. You may notice some work going on at the hotel as they are refurbishing the restaurant, lobby, reception and Grand Suite, but this should not affect your enjoyment of this lovely hotel. There will always be alternative facilities available, i.e one bar and restaurant will be open at any one time. The lift is still in operation. Special rates and promotions have been given over this period to compensate for any disruption caused. Renovations will reduce to absouelt minimum from June to October 07.
