Martin
With
lots of traditional farm architecture, particularly
in the lanes around Rozel and St. Catherine.
Home to St. Catherine’s Breakwater, a
massive engineering feat, and Mont Orgueil Castle
which was much loved by Sir Walter Raleigh whilst
he was governor of the island between 1600 and
1603. The harbour at Rozel is one of the most
picturesque in the Island and there are three
small coves Fliquet, La Coupe & Saie Harbour
between St. Catherine and Rozel.
The
Dolphin Hotel
is a small hotel with a friendly atmosphere
and sits beneath the 12th century Mont Orgueil
Castle at Gorey harbour. The hotel overlooks
the wide, golden expanse of Grouville Bay, which
offers safe bathing and various watersports,
and is close to the 18 hole Royal Jersey Golf
